We have been some what busy over the past couple of months. We took Lily to Disneyland for her first time in September, visitied Utah for a couple of weeks in October (which we did not want to leave), my dad came to Houston to have Thanksgiving with us in November, then Lewis and I just got back from a Mexican Cruise with his company this past week! We also found out in September that we will be expecting our 2nd baby in May! We are so excited and just can't wait to meet the little bun! We find out what we are having on January 5th so we will keep you updated :) Sadly I don't have any photos of Thanksgiving or while we were in Utah :( Looks like I have a New Years Resolution to be better about taking photos!!! All in all, we are doing good down here in Houston. We are definitely missing the snow and cold weather for christmas but I know once Christmas and the holidays past, we will be grateful for the 70 degree weather that we are having down here. We hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!!!

Lilys 1st Gymnastics class

Yesterday we took Lily to her very first gymnastics class. She absolutely LOVED every second of it! I swear this child was born to be a little gymnast! She loves to jump, dance,do somersaults, and attempt to do the splits all day long! The second she walked through the gym doors, she had to biggest grin from ear to ear and she got right down to business. She was doing somersaults all over the mats, climbing on all the obstacle courses and even loved to walk across the balance beam. It was so fun to share this experience with her and we look forward to all of her upcoming weekly classes! We love you Lily! You sure are one talented and beautiful little girl!

I have been the worst with updating this blog this summer! I really have not been the greatest with remembering my camera when we go out! Here are a few photos from some of our adventures this summer. We have gone to the beach a few times, spent many days at the pool, loved going to the park and playing in the fountains, gone to many of the museums that are literally right in our backyard, and have enjoyed have family visit!

So far since we have been in Texas, we haven't done much other than walk to the park every day and feed the ducks. I hate that I haven't put recent pictures up of Lily so I decided to snap a few today. We will be moving back to Houston Texas this summer! And we may be there longer this time :( We are thinking that all the traveling with this job is getting kind of old and we would like to be somewhere where Lew can work year round. On one hand Im excited for warm weather year round so Lily won't be couped up inside the house all winter, but in all honesty i'm really sad! Every summer once August hits I'm so ready to come home and be with our family and friends again! So who knows what the future holds but hopefully we will be home sooner than later! Keep your fingers crossed for us!

It was so nice to get out of the house today!!!! Our family has been so sick with sore throats and colds and we've literally been couped up in our house for the last week and a half! We were going crazy and had to get out, so we were so happy when the weather was somewhat decent today! Me and and my friend took Lily and her little boy over to the cutest little farm by our house and that's where lily met the cutest little donkey (aka Little D) He was the cutest little thing I have ever seen! So friendly and loved just loved Lily! These pictures explain it all how Lily felt about Little D. We will definitely be visiting him more often.

So its not often that you find this one relaxing in one place, that is, until she got her Dora chair. This child loves her little couch. Whether she's watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, or her new favorite, Despicable Me (One of my new favorite movies also) you will find her lounging on her new couch!

Bean Museum...

We have about had it with all this cold weather and not being able to get outside so we decided to take Lily to the Bean Museum to see all the Animals. She loved it! It was so fun to see the look on her face when she would go around a corner and see a new animal she has never seen before. I highly recommend going there If you are like us and dying to get out of the house and want to do something that is FREE.

Sad the Holidays had to end...

We had so much fun over the Christmas Break that we are sad the holidays had to end! Christmas was extra fun this year cause Lily was old enough to understand what a present was and how to open it. So it made it that much more fun for us to see her open her gifts! We got her a cute pink play kitchen that she absolutely adores, and a bunch of other toys! Then her grandparents spoiled her rotten too! Oh and did I mention Lewis got himself a hot tub for Christmas.(Don't worry that we already have one at our clubhouse, he insisted we have one in our own backyard too!) Don't tell him but I actually really like it! I was worried that is was going to take up way to much space and it was going to be expensive to run, but all of that aside it's been really nice! Thanks Lew!
Some of the things we did over the holidays were we took Lily up to see the lights at Temple Square then went for a yummy dinner at Italian Village, went up to Lewis's families cabin overnight and woke up to 4 feet of snow! Wow was that fun! Lets just say, digging a truck and trailer out of 4 feet of snow without a shovel, was not really how we planned our afternoon to go. We were thinking more along the lines of building a snowman or maybe a snow angel or two. Oh well at least we got a bit of a workout i guess you could say. We finally got to build a snowman once we were home and rested from the horrible day before. We attempted to see Tangled on Christmas Eve but I think Lily's still a little to young for that. Pulled little boys hair sitting in front of us at the theatre.... YEP! too young to go to movies. All in all we had so much fun with family and friends and we can't wait to see what the New Year has to offer!

I absolutely love this time of year! I love putting our christmas tree up and watching christmas movies, seeing all the pretty christmas lights and decorated trees, love making sugar cookies and decorating them as a family (more like me decorating and them eating) and I especially loved this year cause lily was old enough to go see santa for her first time. She surprisingly did quite well we were shocked! This time of year also reminds me of what a lucky girl I am! I have an amazing family! A husband who is so caring and thoughtful and always knows how to make me laugh, the most beautiful little girl with the sweetest little personality, and the most amazing parents and inlaws! I really don't know what we would do without all of them! I am especially grateful for my Savior and all that he has done for me! We are also so grateful for such wonderful friends and we hope that you all have an amazing Christmas and one Happy New Year!

I cannot believe this day has already come!!! Seriously where does time go? I just can't believe that 1 year ago today me and Lewis were blessed with the most amazing, beautiful, sweet spirited, baby girl. I feel like such a boob that i am sitting here at my computer sobbing as I go through pictures and type this post. Is that Normal? :) Anyways, back to Lily. Here are a few of her stats over the past couple of months.

~ Started crawling at 8 months
~ Loves Elmo & Baby Einstein(I know I'm totally that mom i told myself I would never be but its the only way I get dinner made with no gates in my house, due to living out of suitcases pretty much)
~ Loves to wave at everyone, clap her hands, raise the roof, play wheels on the bus, pretend cough, fake laugh, and blow kisses
~ Loves oranges
~ Loves the beach and swimming
~ Loves to be read to and then read the books to me
~ Took her first steps at 11 months and about a week later was pretty much running
~ Loves to take baths still
~ Has major "Bieber Fever" already(Loves Justin Biebers music, they kinda share the same hairdo)

These are just a few pictures of Lily somewhat digging into her first cake. We are celebrating her birthday party when we get home to Utah in a few weeks but we thought it was only necessary to have a cake on her real b-day. We love you so much Lily and we want you to know that we are so grateful to our Heavenly Father for sending you to us!

We haven't been on a vacation in about 2 1/2 years now with Lewis being in school and with his job pretty much consuming all of our summer. So we decided that we would take a couple days and head on over to San Antonio. The hotel that we stayed in was on the riverwalk and just steps from the famous Alamo. Lewis insisted that we stop at all the Ripley's Believe it or not studios and the Wax Museum. It is crazy how much some of the wax people look like the real people! We really wanted to do a ghost tour that they do on the river walk but we figured probably not the best thing to do with an 11 month old. Then the last day we were there we took Lily to Sea World. When I think of Sea world Shamu is the first thing that pops into mind. Lets just say that due to poor planning and not really understanding how to read the park map we sadly did not get to pay a visit to Shamu! Yes, I know, that usually would be the reason why most people go to Sea World and that's why we went, but after about 10 wrong turns and with the weather easily being 100+ we decided that the kiddie pool would be just fine :) (And a few animals inbetween) All in all, are trip was so much fun and we can't wait for the next one!

This little girl is officially into everything!!! You can't even turn your head for two seconds or she's crawled off to some other corner of the house. It seems like just yesterday that we were bringing her home from the hospital and cuddling her all day. Now she just slips in a little hug or kiss if we're lucky. Even though time is going by way to fast I have loved every second i have had with this little girl. Just watching her grow and learn new things everyday has been nothing but amazing! We love you Lily jane!

Can I just say that we were truly blessed with one amazing guy! Lewis, you have been an amazing Father since the moment Lily was born! I love that the moment Lily wakes up she wants nothing more than her daddy to come pick her up out of bed and play with her. I love that the second you walk in from work she just can't get to you fast enough. I love that you can make her laugh over anything. Lewis we want you to know just how grateful we are for all that you do for our family! You work so hard at everything that you do. We are so proud of you that you are almost done with your schooling and that you have managed to support our family during the whole process! We love you and hope you have an amazing first Fathers Day! We would also like to say Happy Father's Day to our dads back home in Utah. We love you guys so much and are so thankful for all that you do for us!

Houston's #1 Softball Team

While we have been out here in Houston, Lewis and all of his co-workers joined a softball league. Their games have been so much fun to go and watch! Lewis always played amazing at first base, hit a home run, and had an awesome slide into home that he had scratches to prove it for weeks! What a tough guy! We are so sad that their league is over and we have no more fun games to go cheer our team on!!!

Can I just say that this little girl makes me laugh so hard every single day!!! So she has the cutest LARGE front tooth that when she smiles you can see it from a mile away! We love it!!!
Some other fun facts: She is 8 months old and is rolling everywhere. If she wants a toy on the other side of the room, instead of crawling too it she will roll to it. It is so funny to watch. She loves her daddy so so much. She loves her baby einstein movies. You'd think you would get sick of watching the same movie over and over again but not Lily. She loves people!!! Everywhere we go she smiles at people with her huge happy smile that could just make you melt. She's a pretty picky eater (sounds like someone I know... me as a kid, now i know what my poor mom went through). She loves to sleep!!! I always say that Heavenly Father must of known that I love my sleep cause this little girl since she was about 6 weeks old has slept about 10-12 hours through the night. I know I'm so lucky! She has such a happy personality. She pretty much only cries when she is hungry or when she is tired. However she has just learned how to throw tantrums that are actually kinda funny cause she gets really red in the face, squeezes her hands into tight fists and just makes a growling noise. Kinda hard to take seriously. We love you Lily SO much!

Lew and I went to the Dr yesterday and found out that we are having a little GIRL!!!!
We are so excited! I was quite shocked though cause I thought for sure we were having a boy! Any of you out there that have done any of those tricks to see what your having like the "Ring Trick" or the "Drano Test", Don't do them! They were all totally wrong on me! We had everyone convinced including myself that we were having a boy! Anyhow we are so excited we just cant wait to meet our little girl!

Here are some pictures from our latest travels. I know its nothing to exciting but I couldn't think of anything else to post about. The first one is getting ready to see Les Mis, we have a couple from our latest Vegas trip, and then the last few are from this past Thanksgiving weekend. Which i must say is definitley one to remember! Me and Lew decided that we were going to tough out the crowds and attempt to get some deals on Black Friday! I can honestly say that I have never laughed so hard and been so shocked all at the same time like I was that morning! We woke up at 3:30 (I know what were we thinking, we don't even have kids yet!) to meet Melisa Lews sis at the Wal-mart to try and get a kitchen aid cause they were such a good deal. Lets just say that we got what we went for but many people around us didn't leave with what they wanted unless they were willing to fight for it! LITERALLY!!! We watched as a pregnant lady wrestled a grown man on the ground and another couple right next to me fight over a kitchen appliance!!! I seriously could not believe my eyes! Needless to say me and lew got our kitchen aid and were back in bed by 5:12 a.m.. All in all this weekend was amazing! We had a wonderful thanksgiving dinner with both of our families (And I even got lew to decorate a gingerbread house and sugar cookies!!!) I just want my husband and my family to know how grateful I am for each and every one of them! They all do so much for me and are all such good examples to me! I love you all! I am also so grateful that I am a member of the church of Jesus Christ! It is truly such a blessing to have the gospel in mine and my families life! I am grateful for the wonderful ward we are in and the fun nursery calling that i have. At first I wasn't quite sure how I would like it, i was worried it would feel like we were babysitting a bunch of little kids while their parents got to go to their classes, but we have the cutest kids in our class and they seriously make us laugh every week! Wow I could go on and on so i'll stop at that but I just want my hubby to know I love him!

Once again like usual its been a while since we have posted. I am having troubles with my camera and can't download pics tonight so images will be coming soon. Since we have posted last we made a quick trip down to St George for my b-day to see Les Miserables at the Tuachan Theatre which was Awesome!!! Then we went to Vegas last weekend because Lew qualified for a trip for his work and we were able to see Cirque de Soliel "The Beatles" show and it was so cool! I wish I could've taken pictures of it! People were coming out of the floor, twisting down from the ceiling, rollerskating over jumps and much more! It was one of the coolest shows I've ever seen! Thanks BJ and Katie for such a fun weekend!

Ok so it has been a while since we have updated we have both been so crazy busy with work and well, just life in general. So anyhow, this past weekend lew had to deliver some things up to a job site in Idaho for work and Lew asked me to join him. So I did! Lets just say that we had a crazy fun time!!! The job site was in Teton Springs for all of you that are familiar with the area, it is only like 30 min away from Jackson Hole, WY. So we thought what the heck since we're all the way up here we might as well venture into Jackson Hole. The ride there was beautiful! All the trees were changing colors! (To be honest, I never knew that Idaho was this pretty!!) Anyways we made it into JH and we walked around the cute little shops for awhile and ate some yummy pizza and realized well were only like 45 min from Yellowstone we should go? So we did! Did I mention that we had only brought enough stuff (clothes, undies) for one day and we were driving in a DIESEL!!!! Yes the ride was bumpy, the seats would not recline, and it maxes at 80 mph! Lets just say we were troopers! The whole ride we only saw 6 black crows!!!! Not ONE stinkin ANimal!!! Can you believe it! We were in Yellowstone and saw NOT 1 animal. Needless to say we had so much fun together and we sure did laugh alot!

So sunday night I will be flying home to Utah for the first time this summer! I am excited to go back to see my family and friends but will be way sad to leave Lew behind! We have had some amazing experiences this summer! Living by the beach, exploring new cities, meeting alot of really neat people, and Lew has learned so much about business and sales. I am so grateful to have had this experience! It has taught us so much! Lew I will miss you so so so so much and can't wait till you join me back home! Love you Hon!!!!

St Louis has the cutest little zoo that we went to this past weekend. It was so much fun to go and see all the different animals they had there. I think the last time that I had even gone to the zoo was when I was in the 5th grade. So it was lots of fun to go it made me feel like I was a kid again. It was really fun to go with Lew too cause he was just as excited to see all the animals as some of the little kids next to us were.

So Sunday morning me and Lew packed up the car and headed out to St Louis. I can't believe how fast this summer has flown by! We had so much fun in Virginia Beach and we were quite sad that we had to go! We met so many amazing people there and we had such a good time with all of them! We will miss you all! Lew and I had so many amazing experiences and learned from them all! Now it's off to St Louis! See you all at the end of September!

K so we have always wanted to take this bridge called the Chesapeake Bay bridge and tunnel, but when we went to go across it we found out that it costs $17 dollars just to cross to get over to the bay and you have to pay in cash (which we never have on us!) So finally on the boys day off of work we decided we would venture on over and see what the bay had to offer. It was so much fun. The road you take to get there is all over water and then you go in a tunnel that goes under the ocean for a couple of miles. It was such a pretty drive! We had so much fun when we got to the bay, the water was really shallow and you felt like you could just keep walking further and further out into the ocean without getting in deeper than your knees.

So my little sister came to visit me and Lewis here in Virginia Beach on June 29th. What she thought was going to be a two week vacation turned into three weeks and a day! We had so much fun with her! We took a short trip to Washington D.C., made countless trips to the beach, she layed by the pool everyday, and we ate at many yummy restaurants! My little sister Eliza is in town for the next couple of weeks so we decided that we would go to Washington DC for a couple of days. We went on Tuesday and got home on Thursday, so we weren't there long enough to see everything we wanted to see, plus it was so so so busy due to the fact that it was the 4th of July weekend. All the monuments tickets were sold out for the days we were there so we just took pictures in front of a bunch of them. We were so tired by the time that we reached the capital that we just took pictures of it from the library behind it cause we were to tired to walk around to the front (the front of it was like two blocks away.) Anyhow, we had so much fun even though we walked our bootys off! We did get a chance though to go to the Holocaust Museum and it was so sad to learn all that really happened to all those people and children that were killed during the Holocaust. I was so glad though that we had a chance to go DC. It was so neat to see all the amazing buildings and monuments that all have so much history behind them. It just made me that much more grateful to live in this free country!

Fun Weekend

We had so much fun this last weekend! Pat and Jackie came up to visit us from North Carolina. The first night they got here we went to Ruth'c Chris Steakhouse and shared a really yummy meal. (If you've never been I highly suggest going and get the sweet potato casserole. Yum!) Then on saturday me and Jackie went to the beach while Pat went out to sell with Lew. What a good friend Pat is! Sunday we went to church then went to the beach cause Pat had never been. Let's just say that I am mad that I forgot our camera that day! Pat wore a purple speedo and let's just say he got heads to turn! :) Thanks for comin to visit us you guys we had so much fun! In the picture above we were eating at the restaurant Smokey Bones. They have some awesome ribs.

This weekend we decided that we would take a trip on up to Williamsburg and do a little sightseeing while we were here in Virginia. I'm not exactly quite sure what all these buildings actually are cause we didn't take the tour but we thought they for sure had some sort of amazing history so we took some photos! Enjoy!

We went to this fun little carnival over the weekend! We got there late so we couldn't ride any rides which was a bummer but we did get to play a few games! So I have just come to find that Ollie loves watching the Animal channel. Whenever I'm getting ready for the day I just turn the t.v. to channel 43 and he is instantly mesmorized! Who would've ever thought that a dog would love t.v. so much! (Sorry the room is a total eye sore. It's a total mess!)

First trip to the Beach

Okay so we have missed Utah so so much but one thing that has been so much fun has been living by the beach! I have always loved going on vacation to the beach but never did I dream that I would actually be living only five minutes away from one!!! We absolutely love it! As you can tell from above Lew has had a blast. The couple in the picture above is Nick and Lindsey Scano. We have had so much fun with them and with all the couples out here.

Wow!! It's been a long time!

So a ton has happened since I have posted last. We haven't had the internet till now and have been very busy with job changing. We got a new addition to our family. Ollie that is! A cute little pomeranian that has brought much joy and many sleepless nights!! (I will post pictures soon) However, shortly after we got Ollie our darling little Lyla (our Kitty you may have seen pictures of her in earlier posts) took off and has never been seen since! :( We have missed her so so much!!! We think that Ollie may have driven her crazy and she decided that she had had enough and took off on her own little adventure. We miss you Lyla wherever you may be!!! Another big change that we have had in our family was that Lew decided to go out for the summer and sell security systems with his Mission President. So we packed up our car and Ollie and traveled out east to Virginia Beach! We had so much fun driving across country together. We stopped in Nebraska the first night, grabbed a bite to eat in Kansas City, Slept in St Louis, then the last night we stayed in Nashville, TN where we saw the Grand Ole Opry then continued on the next day to our destination! We had such a blast minus the stop at the pet hospital for Ollie cause he had a bit of car sickness:( Anyhow we are having a great time here in Virginia and Lew is quite the little salesman I must say! We are so proud of you Lew!!!!! We love You!!!!!

Okay so i don't know if anybody else has the same problem that I do, but I find myself always wanting a treat to eat! And by treat I mean a yummy dessert of some sorts! I sit here all day at my job dreaming of what treat I could eat. My other problem is is that if there is a treat on my desk (my bosses wife always brings in a goodie like banana bread, these caramel bars, cookies) I have a hard time not wanting to eat the whole plate! I know this is ridiculous and your all probably thinking what a fattie! but I seriously don't know what my problem is! If only desserts and candy were the healthy thing to eat!!!

So me and Lew decided that we would go to Frightmares at Lagoon. Neither of us had either been before so we thought we should check it out and see how it is! We had fun but after about 5 rides both of us decided to call it a day. I never thought I would get sick on rides like my mom always did, but little to my dismay i felt quite queesy after just a few rides! Sad! Oh well we had fun while we were there. We didn't stay long enough though to experince frightmares. Oh well there is always next year!

There were so many ideas that i absolutely just loved, but my favorite out of them all (which i think i may try and make me one this weekend) was the shutter organizer. It is such a great idea, and cute too! Now all I got to do is find me some shutters!

Crazy Morning!

So Erin (my sister-in-law) calls me this morning and says, "Guess who I'm standing outside of your house with right now! The Fire Department!" I was like "What!!!" She said that the couple below us had a fire in their apartment and that the fire department had to knock our door down to our apt. to make sure everything was alright. She wasn't quite sure what the damage was but me and Lewis hurried home as soon as possible. When we arrived the fire department, our landlord, our next door neighbors in their pj's, Erin and Ellie, and a few curious neighbors were on the scene! Luckily our apartment had no damage, just smelled a bit of smoke. Our poor neighbors below us though have a nasty hole in their kitchen ceiling.
So, Lewis and I have now lived in this lovely little apartment for about 4 months now. We have experienced many unwanted visitors in our bedroom and bed, (aka Spiders!), all of our windows are broken, and now we have somewhat experinced a fire! We think something is trying to tell us maybe this just isn't the right apartment for us! Wouldn't you have to agree? Question is where do we move now?

Okay so I have to admit, I never thought I would be as big of a Jazz fan as I am now!

My husband loves the Jazz!!! While we dated we went to at least 7 games that I can

remember. I have had so much fun watching these games with Lew. He makes them so much

fun to watch (you can get some idea from the picture above!) Anyhow, their first

preseason game starts tomorrow night so I thought on behalf of Lew I would post and get

him even more pumped up for the game. GO JAZZ!

Okay, so I don't know if any of you ever watch this show but I love it! This is a picture from one of the episodes of Color Splash off of HGTV. The host of the show David Bromstad is an amazing artist and designer who can take a bland colorless room and make it look so colorful, fun, cozy, and just anything that I couldn't. My favorite episode was where he turns a fire station's boring outside patio into a fun hangout and perfect for BBQ's. I love the channel HGTV. It has so many fun shows that have a ton of good design tips.

Yay! So my husband the sweetheart that he is bought me an early b-day present! Thank you! Thank you so so so so much Lew! I can't wait till it comes in the mail so that I can start snappin away! Right now I have a digital camera that as you can all tell from my previous postings does not take very good pictures.(I know it partly has to do with the photographer :)) Anyhow I really can't wait till it comes so I can get workin on my first assignment for the photography class that i'm taking which I am so excited about!

Wow! So i have not posted in a long time! My camera wasn't downloading to my computer at work but we just got the internet at home so I can blog again! So I'm so excited cause i start a photography class tomorrow! Yay! One of my friends from high school went to Brooks (It's only like the best photography institute that you can go to) and she is the one who will be teaching the class. Maybe she can teach me some pointers at blogging to! I only know the basics.

Okay so here we are toughin out the cold to support our One and Only's!
They started with the American Fork League which I am proud to say they
took 2nd place in the whole league! Good job guys!!! Tonight was their 1st
tournament game in the Orem league. They have had a great season so far.
They almost won tonights game but don't worry guys you'll get em next time!
Hopefully next game won't be this cold though!

So i was having major problems with my camera tonight! I couldn't seem to get good light in any of the pictures that I took! However, I thought this one was kinda cool.

Viva Las Vegas

So we decided that we would take a
little vaca down to vegas before
school started up again! We had a ton
of fun! And by fun I mean eatin at the
the cheesecake factory, In & Out burger,
sugar cookies from Nestle Tollhouse.
Only the best of course! So if you ever
happen to eat at the cheesecake factory
you have to try the Adams peanut butter
cup fudge ripple cheesecake! I'm not
even jokin when i say that it is amazing!
One other little inside tip if you don't
already know it. Order the fries at In & Out
"Animal Style". So Good! Sad that I know
so many things about fattening foods!
